Lady Ravens Shine at Charter School Conference Tournament

Big shoutout to the Lady Ravens Volleyball Team for their strong performance at the Charter School Conference Volleyball Tournament this past weekend. While the team didn’t take home the championship title, they proudly earned several individual honors. Congratulations to Jada Oquin for being recognized as All Conference Academic, Renee Jones for earning Second Team All Conference, and Ajah Smith for receiving All Conference Honorable Mention.

The Lady Ravens’ next mission is the MHSAA Districts, where they’ll face Jalen Rose Leadership Academy at Lincoln King High School on November 3rd at 6:30 p.m. Come out and show your support as they continue to soar!

🎉 Congratulations to Mr. Nelson! 🎉

We are proud to announce that Mr. Derrick Nelson has been invited to serve on the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Sports Medicine Advisory Committee (SMAC).

This prestigious committee is made up of dedicated professionals from both the medical and educational fields, all working together to prioritize the health and safety of student-athletes across Michigan.

As a member of the committee, Mr. Nelson will:

  • Advise MHSAA leadership on medical and safety issues in interscholastic athletics

  • Share current sports medicine knowledge with schools across the state

  • Support the development of educational resources for student health and wellness

  • Help identify and address key health and safety concerns for student-athletes

Committee members serve a two-year term and play a vital role in ensuring that athletics remain a safe and positive experience for students.
